The Marangu Route is the oldest and most established Kilimanjaro trail. It is considered the easiest path in terms of technical difficulty but has a lower summit success rate due to limited acclimatization. Unlike other routes, Marangu offers sleeping huts instead of tents, making it a comfortable choice for many trekkers.
The 6-day itinerary adds an extra acclimatization day at Horombo Hut and significantly improves summit success.
