The Rongai Route approaches Kilimanjaro from the remote northern side, close to the Kenyan border. It is known for its dry climate, making it a good option during the rainy seasons. This route offers spectacular views of Mawenzi Peak and a gradual ascent profile.
The 6-day version is faster but requires good fitness because it has less acclimatization time compared to the 7-day itinerary.
